Freshmen Center
This page provides information relevant for freshmen at CHS.
The Five-Year Plan is required of all students. Students pick a Career Cluster that interests them, and that choice guides their course selections throughout high school. Along the way, students fulfill the requirements for graduation, and may look into completing additional coursework for TOPS (a scholarship that helps pay for college) and for Academic or Career Technical Endorsements.
Additionally, starting in the freshmen year, students are required to begin work on a Progressive Research Plan, or PRP for short. Your English teachers will help you along the way. This research project is completed in your senior year of high school, cumulating with a research paper and a presentation to members of the community.
Your grades and attendance are recorded on a program known as JPAM. You and your parents have access to this information anytime!
