Congratulations to one of our Seniors, Chandler Shulte, for she has won 1st Place in the State from the organization--Mothers Against Drunk Driving for a poster that she submitted in the STAR class for a competition that involved many other high schools in the state of Louisiana.
In November Chandler participated in a Service Learning Project with Pineview Middle School called "Protecting You Protecting Me" where she and the other students in the STAR class spent many hours teaching 4th graders about the brain and the effects of drinking on brain development. In addition to their teaching, Chandler and the STAR students were asked to design a poster for the holiday season that will be used in the MADD state-wide campaign to stop drunk driving, especially during the holiday season.
Chandler will receive $150 for her efforts. WE would all like to say Congratulations to Chandler.
