Second Nine-Weeks Exam Schedule
- Inform short day students of the exam schedule so they can make arrangements with their job.
- Students who check-in to school late during the study period time will be issued a detention. If they are exempt from an exam and check into school to take the next hour exam, no discipline will be issued.
- Students are NOT to take exams other than the times scheduled without prior approval from Mrs. Mizell’s office.
- Students are to be in class during exam time periods and are NOT to be given passes.
- Students are NOT to be sent to the office to check out after exams. If they check in late and the exam has started, they will go to ISS and will make it up on Friday during the study period, 7:30 – 9:00am.
- Exams are worth 20% of the nine weeks grade and should represent this.
- Students may not check out the day before a holiday unless a parent comes to pick them up.
Exam Exemption Policy
Only seniors are exempt and the exemption policy is a senior will be exempt from taking his/her semester exam if he/she meets the following criteria:
The semester grade for the report card will be the average of both quarters prior to the semester exam for those students meeting this criteria:
A average and 5 or fewer combined absences and/or tardies.
OR
B average and 4 or fewer combined absences and/or tardies.
For the purpose of exemptions, the following absences are not counted:
1. School sponsored field trip, athletics, and activities
2. Two official college visit days per year.
3. Spring testing
**Both excused or unexcused absences and/or tardies count in the total.

Tuesday December 15, Wednesday December 16, and Thursday December 17.
Study Period A 7:30 – 9:00 (90 minutes)
Break 9:00 – 9:10
Exam Period A 9:15 – 10:45 (90 minutes)
Study Period B C1 10:50 – 11:50 (60 min)
L2 11:50 - 12:20 (30 min)
Return to C1 12:25 – 12:55 (30 min)
Study Period B L1 10:45 – 11:15 (30 min)
C2 11:20 – 12:55 (95 min)
Break 12:55 – 1:05
Exam Period B 1:10 – 2:41 (91 minutes)
Tuesday: Exam Period A 1st hour
Exam Period B 2nd (students go to lunch based on the location of their 2nd hour)
Wednesday: Exam Period A 3rd
Exam Period B 4th (students go to lunch based on the location of their 4th hour)
Thursday: Exam Period A 5th
Exam Period B 6th (students go to lunch based on the location of their 6th hour)
Friday December 19 7:30 – 11:30 (All students will report to 7th hour)
Study period/Winter Concert: 7:30 – 9:20
Winter Concert #1 7:40 – 8:25 (released at 7:40, but 30 minute production)
(Classrooms in the 700s, 800s, Field House, and PE)
Winter Concert #2 8:30 – 9:15 (released at 8:30am but 30 minute production)
(Classrooms in the 100s, 200s, 300s, 400s, 500s, 600s)
Break 9:20 - 9:30
7th hour exam 9:30 – 11:00 (90 mins)
Lunch 11:00 – 11:30
