St. Tammany will offer a summer remediation program and retesting opportunity for students who scored "Unsatisfactory" on any portion of the GEE. This program is provided at no cost to the student.
June 9-23: Classes meet from 8-10 am, 10 am - 12 pm.
June 24: Math and Science retakes
June 25: Social Studies Retakes
June 25 and 26: English Language Arts retakes
June 27: Make-ups
This is offered at Covington High and Salmen High. Testing will be given at the school attended. Sites will be determined based on the school districts where the student resides, unless the parent works closer to the other and is willing to drive. Time slots are based upon numbers; there are 2 blocks: 8-10 and 10-12. Student dress code and discipline policies will be the same as for the school year. Students from schools with uniforms will not be required to wear the uniform.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors for the 08-09 School Year
Around the middle of October, you will be given the opportunity to take the PSAT. The PSAT is a test which is used to see if you qualify for the outstanding National Merit award and scholarships to universities. Juniors and sophomores who excel should consider taking the PSAT.
Anyone who has 504 or IEP accommodations must submit special forms to the guidance office to qualify for special testing. This form must be submitted by the end of August 2008. |
Alumni, we have yearbooks from 1998,
1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003 on "clearance" for only
$5.00. They may be purchased from Mrs. Hawkins in room 406 any time
during school hours.
All yearbooks not claimed from the
2006 and 2007 editions by August 25th, 2008, will be put back on
sale. Many of the past seniors need to come claim your books! You
may pick up these books by going to the front office at any time
during school hours.
