How to Join Us

To begin your career with 409 studios, students should try to take Multimedia Productions or Photography as soon as possible. Incoming freshman interested in joining can speak with Mr. Lynch directly over the summer or the first few days of the school year to see if there is room in the course. However, due to popularity, the class is often filled, so incoming students should normally plan to take either class their sophomore year. Multimedia Productions teaches students the basics of filming and editing, and Photography explores many aspects related to digital photography. Photography does not cover physical film/darkrooms/photo development.

For Multimedia- On your schedule sheet, put "Multimedia Productions" for both the fall and spring semesters. It is a year-long class, and for eligible juniors and seniors, is also dual-enrolled with Northshore Technical Community College.

For Photography- On your schedule sheet, put "Photography" for the fall semester, and "Advanced Photography" for the spring semester. It is a year-long class, and registering for both semesters is required. The fall semester must be successfully passed in order to take Advanced Photography in the spring.
