Covington High is now accepting advertisements from local businesses and individuals for the 2016-2017 year. Ads will be run at all home football, JV football, district soccer games, and track meets! Businesses may provide your own ads, or work with Covington High students who will make them for you! It's a great opportunity to give high school students a truly educational experience! Ads can be video commercials (30 seconds max) or still-image logos.

In addition, we can also do "shout-outs" if you want to wish someone a happy birthday, celebrate an anniversary, or even ask someone out to a school dance!

Athletic Scholarship Opportunities

Sports Hall of Fame Scholarships

The AIRF gives scholarships each year to deserving seniors in high school. The
scholarships are presented each year at the Louisiana American Italian Sports Hall of Fame Gala. The requirements are that the student be of Italian heritage, have participated in sports at the high school level and will attend college in the fall. Deadline for submissions is November 15th, 2017.

Wendy’s High School Heisman Award

Winning the Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship requires a GPA of 3.0 or better, participation in at least one school-sponsored sport, and demonstrated leadership at school and in the community. See to apply.

Swim Team Wins 1st Place

The CHS Swim Team won 1st place overall at their first swim meet at Oak Knoll yesterday! The girls came in 1st, and the boys came in 2nd. Congratulations!

Equestrian Accomplishments

CHS Equestrian Team members Michaela, Sydney, and Corryn all competed at this weekends Summers End Horse Show held at Hunters Bluff farm. All three CHS riders were in the ribbons this weekend!

Results: Pre Child Equitation Sydney placed first in both over fences divisions and Michaela Lavigne had 2nd and 3rd, over fences, under saddle  Lavigne placed 4th and ragas first. Ragas earning Champion of the Pre child Equitation division.

In Jumpers Corryn earned a 2nd in the hopeful jumpers going on to place 5th, 6th, and 3rd in all three Low Schooling jumper classes.

Sunday Pre Child Hunters Sydney continued on a win streak earning a 1st and 3rd over fences, lavigne a 4th Hunter under saddle Corryn placed 5th, Sydney 1st earning Champion of the Pre Child Hunter division.

Corryn competed and placed 5th in gulf Coast hunter jumper Medal, and 4th in Southern Louisiana Hunter jumper Medal class.
