Covington High is now accepting advertisements from local businesses and individuals for the 2016-2017 year. Ads will be run at all home football, JV football, district soccer games, and track meets! Businesses may provide your own ads, or work with Covington High students who will make them for you! It's a great opportunity to give high school students a truly educational experience! Ads can be video commercials (30 seconds max) or still-image logos.

In addition, we can also do "shout-outs" if you want to wish someone a happy birthday, celebrate an anniversary, or even ask someone out to a school dance!

Cross Country

The Covington High boys Cross Country team competed recently at the State Championships in Natchitoches. Running in ankle deep mud almost the entire 3 miles, their last race of the season was also their most difficult. Covington High's top 5 finishers were:

Hailey Cunningham competed at Amen Corner Farms Dressage Show on November 7th and 8th. Hailey placed first in Training level test one and two riding in rain and mud!

HS Equestrian has been busy this month. Emma Tolliver did practice runs at a  local show, and Sarah Truett recently competed at Ginger Black's GALA Halloween show this past weekend. Results:

Bayou Jumpers - placed 5th in four divisions.
Long Stirrup Equitation: 6th, over fences and 10th on the flat
Hunters Long stirrup- 2nd, 7th over fences, 6th on the Flat.

Cross Country

Covington High cross country competed in the Northshore - Slidell Invitational at Fontainebleau State Park Friday afternoon and almost everyone on the team made a new personal record. Lorraine Weiskopf lead the girls team and finished strong in 20th place.  Daulton Knope finished 7th and Landon Stumbaugh finished 10th.  The boys team came in 3rd overall making this their most successful meet so far this season.
