A place for Covington High School graduates to reconnect and reminisce about the good old days (not part of the CHS website):
Alumni, we have yearbooks from 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003 on "clearance" for only $10.00. They may be purchased from Mrs. Hawkins in room 406 any time during school hours. All yearbooks not claimed from the 2006 and 2007 editions by August 25th, 2008, will be put back on sale. Many of the past seniors need to come claim your books! You may pick up these books by going to the front office at any time during school hours. Contact Mrs.

Found: A Covington High School class ring (man) from the Class of 1968. Inscribed are the initials RMK and the ring was made by a company called Gold Lance (10K). Pplease have them call (504) 491-3517 (cell) or via email at: sean.leblanc1212@gmail.com. Found: A 1971 CHS ring with the initials of BB in the inside was found in Chalmette. If you have lost a ring, please contact Yun Thompson in guidance. |

Gathering on the Tchefuncte
Diane Taylor Stein and Rusty Burns, graduates of 1967, are sponsoring the first "CHS Annual Alumni Gathering on the Tchefuncte". The date is September 26th, 2 pm, at Friends's Restaurant in Madisonville. The event is open to all Alumni, Faculty, Coaches, Staff and Administration. Please bring your family as well. The "Le Bon Temps Roule" will be docked at Friend's to display class memorabilia, year books and to accomodate the CHS Alumni Foundation. "We are establishing a Tradition - A Tradition of Pride and Support for CHS Programs" It is time to honor our Alma Mata and refresh our high school friendships. This perpetual event will be held every year on Saturday following homecoming at Friend's on the Tchefuncte at 2pm. As this gathering gains momentum, individual classes are encouraged to organize re-union parties that coincide with the CHS fun filled weekend. We need your help to pass the word. Tell everyone of the up coming event and mark your calendar. Class of '99
Dear Class of 1999, It's hard to believe that the time has come to begin the planning of our 10 year class reunion! The first thing we need to do is compile a list of current addresses of fellow classmates. Please send all of your contact information to covingtonhsclassof99@yahoo.com Please include your name, current address, email address and a contact phone number. Also, feel free to include any ideas or suggestions you may have. Preliminary plans include a Friday night party and a reception for Saturday night. A family function may also be planned. No dates have been set as of yet. If you would like to be involved in planning please let us know in the email with your contact info. Please pass this along to anyone who may be in contact with a CHS graduate of 1999. We need everyone's help in order for this event to be a success!! Thanks! |
