Computer Architecture...5772A and 5773B. Grades 11, 12- 1 year elective. This course focuses on the core technologies in hardware maintenance and operating systems. Topics included in the fall are operating systems and installing and upgrading computers. In the spring semester, content focuses on server maintenance. This is a college course offered through CISCO with certification opportunities available.

Computer Networking and Administration...5785A and 5786B (Year 1) and 5787 A and 5788B (Year 2). Grades 11, 12- 2 year long certification sequence. This is a certification course offered through CISCO. It involves a rigorous two-year long (four semesters) curriculum educating students about network basics, configuring routers and switches, and maintaining computer networks. After completion of four semesters, students are elegible to take a certification test and become CISCO CCNA certified. Basic knowledge of computers is assumed for all students, one year IBCA highly recommended prior to enrollment.

Computer Science 1a. Programming in C++. Grades 11, 12- 1 semester elective. Prerequisite Enrolled in or completed Algebra 2. This course will teach the computer language C++.

Computer Science 1b...Advanced Programming in C++. Prerequisite: Completed both Computer science 1a Teacher approval is required. This course will teach advanced concepts in the C++ language.

Digital Multimedia Presentation...5780A and 5781B. Grade 12- 1 year elective. Intro to Business and Computing Applications and Web Page Design are both prerequisites, teacher approval is required. Students learn how to create digital multimedia presentations; includes video and sound editing. Year results in a "video yearbook" where students create their own version of a digitized yearbook called the Panthera Leo. After school work is required.

Web Page Design...5778S. Grades 11, 12- 1 Semester Elective. One year IBCA prerequisite, teacher approval is required. In this course students will learn web page design and maintain the CHS homepage. Students are expected to master software such as Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Macromedia Fireworks. Some Flash animation is introduced as well.
