Fine Art Survey: Grades 9-12 1-year elective. A course designed for students who wish to develop an appreciation and understanding of the visual arts, drama, music, and dance--a journey into times past through readings and studio projects.
Students learn: about a variety of cultures, which may begin with prehistoric cave paintings and "time traveling" through ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome. A brief stop in the Gothic period to learn about Stained glass windows and mosaics. Then on to the Romanesque period to explore the Coat of Arms.
